The label was first used in 1992/1993, prior to this, various names has been applied to RCA and BMG in Chile:
Corporación De Radio De Chile, S.A. (until the late 1960s, back catalog not related to BMG)
RCA S.A. Electrónica (1969 - 1972, later renamed Industria De Radio y Televisión, S.A.)
RCA/Ariola, BMG Chile (before 1987)
BMG Music International - Chile (briefly in 1987)
E.M.S.S.A. CHILE (1988 - 1992)
In the case of cassette releases, it was manufactured and distributed by EMI Odeon Chilena S.A. and carries the same album code with other releases from EMI (including EMI and WEA). By 1993, BMG albums on cassettes in Chile ceased to be distributed by EMI.
In 2005, merged with Sony Music Entertainment Chile Ltda. as a part of Sony BMG merger, with the name Sony BMG Music Entertainment (Chile) S.A.. In 2009, Sony Music's operation in Chile uses a different legal company type, which is Sony Music Entertainment Chile S.A..
