Magnetic sound recording tape label formed by Audio Devices, Inc.. Audiotape was shown at the 1950 Audio Fair in New York. In 1953, Audio Devices applied for the Audiotape trademark. In late 1967 Audio Devices merged with Capitol Records. Please do not confuse this label with the more modern French label Audiotape (Audiotape Records).
