96 Tapes

Cassette-only label set up in the early '80's by Rob Challice ( Enigma Fanzine and Faction (4) ) from 96 Brougham Road, Hackney, London. To some small extent a side project to the larger scale All The Madmen Records of which Rob became manager. Some recordings were made in the basement of No.96 using a small 8-track porta-studio set up. Cassettes came with booklets of associated lyrics, art and info and were largely sold at gigs and by DIY mail order distros.
