Open Wound
Настоящее имя: Open Wound
Open Wound is a British Noise and Industrial label run by Trevor Ward, also a founding member and one half of The Grey Wolves.
Open Wound has its roots in a tape label named Anal Probe, started in the winter of 82/83 by Ward and his later Grey Wolves-cooperator David Padbury. Anal Probe lasted until the spring of 85, when Padbury moved to Manchester. He started a label of his own, called Artaman, which later became Sol Niger.
Ward started a label called Zeal SS, which became Zeal Of England, switched back to Zeal SS, then changed it to Death's Head Unit and many further names as Atrocity Network, Strength Through Awareness Branch, Order Ov Wolves, New Strength, Lebensborn, Transformer, Industrial Heritage, Industrial Warfare, Convulsive Beauty and -finally- Open Wound.
Open Wound was replaced by a relaunched Strength Through Awareness Branch: "23rd September 2008 - Let it be known that Strength Through Awareness Branch replaces the label name - Open Wound. Ive been aware for quite a while that the name id been using for my label since about 1990 was being used by others (labels / groups / shops / books / etc). In the end enough was enough and i decided to ditch Open Wound in favour of an old label name i hadnt used since the 1980s - Strength Through Awareness Branch. STAB is back (to basics) and ready to take on some more industrial underground operations.
