As per the label's old Wordpress site: "Spare Change Records is a criminally cheap CD-R record label run by Pat The Bunny (of Wingnut Dishwashers Union and Johnny Hobo and the Freight Trains). I have operated a label called “Spare Change Records” longer than my rivals in the shitty hardcore scene (http://www.sparechangerecords.com), but I will concede that people have probably been actually buying music from their label for longer than mine, as the first two years of operation was run at a 100% loss, with every CD given away. I put out music I love by people I love and sell it on CD-R. Everything is sold on a sliding scale. Most items are a suggested $2 through the mail (or $1 when bought in person). You know those television ads for local businesses where the owner rants about how he must be INSANE to drop prices so low? Well, I’m the real deal. I’m outta my fucking mind, and I’m either going to sell you a CD or come through that computer and knife you in the face."
