Austrian literature price, named after [a578771] Initiated by her city of birth, Klagenfurt in 1977, organized, recorded and broadcasted by ORF Studio Klagenfurt. The jury was led from 1977 to 1986 by Marcel Reich-Ranicki. The contest counts as one of the most renown prices in the German speaking literature scene. Also Deutschlandfunk and 3sat sponsor the event in sub-sections.
