Ingeborg Bachmann Preis

Austrian literature price, named after Ingeborg Bachmann Initiated by her city of birth, Klagenfurt in 1977, organized, recorded and broadcasted by ORF Studio Klagenfurt. The jury was led from 1977 to 1986 by Marcel Reich-Ranicki. The contest counts as one of the most renown prices in the German speaking literature scene. Also Deutschlandfunk and 3sat sponsor the event in sub-sections.
