Studio
Настоящее имя: Studio
Yugoslav label and record series active from 1969 to 1972.
In fact, "Studio" was one of the most popular weekly tv-guides and the magazine providing news from entertainment, show business, music, film and theatre. It also provided television and radio program listings. Modelled after the famous American TV Guide Magazine, it was published in Zagreb from 1964 to 1992. A few years later, in the now independent Croatia, it became a weekly insert attached to the "Jutarnji list" daily, while from 2015 it has been re-published in a magazine format. In the early 1970s, it reached a print run of more than 300 000 in a country of some 20 million people.
In terms of discography, the Studio label appears in two forms on phonographic releases. In the period 1969-1972 several 7" and 12" records carried a "Jugoton-Studio" logo and are considered a special series under the Jugoton label. In the second form, Studio appears as an independent label under which nine 7" records were released in 1972. These were also a part of the series "1000 sviranja" (1000 plays), which were manufactured in collaboration with either Helidon or Jugoton, which pressed these pieces of vinyl.
