Beaver Records Limited

One of the earliest Canadian labels of the LP era, Beaver Records Limited was founded in 1950 by Toronto lawyer and classical music patron F. R. MacKelcan. The label's main purpose was to record the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir. Releases were pressed in Toronto by RCA Victor. The label's recordings were available in the United States on Bluebird and in Britain and Australia through the World Record Club.
