The label name is derived from Musik Aus Strom, a name Funkstörung recorded under around the time of starting the label. Label originally founded and ran by Michael Fakesch and Chris De Luca (of Funktsörung). Relaunched on January 7th 2022 by Fakesch with the full label catalogue reissued digitally for the first time on the label's brand new Bandcamp page, in addition to the first new title / artist released on the label in over a decade (with more new releases announced and due later in 2022).
