Green Spot

In the 1960/70s Green Spot was an orange-based soft drink without a puncture in the Netherlands. The drink was developed in the United States in 1934, after the introduction of Orangeade (an orange-based soda with a puncture, similar to Orangina). In 1954 a branch was opened in Thailand, from where the drink was popularized in the Far East, such as Hong Kong. In 1962 Wim T. Schippers made the international news by emptying a bottle of Green Spot into the sea at Petten.
