Dark Star (2)
Настоящее имя: Dark Star (2)
Independent cassette label run by Alan and Steve Freeman of Leicester, UK circa 1983-86. Most releases on the label are projects involving the Freeman brothers, in the realms of experimental noise, industrial and electronic music. "Difficult Music" as Dave Henderson called it in his Sounds "Wild Planet" features.
In 1986, along with the launch of Audion Magazine, Dark Star was re-branded as Auricle.
The Dark Star label has more recently been revived and used for some CDr and download reissues.
Clam case editions of Dark Star cassettes are September 1984 to March 1986.
All the earlier clam case editions were reissues, whereas some were issued as regular and clam case at the same time. The exact chronology has been lost.
Many very limited novelty packages also exist.
