Sohag
Настоящее имя: Sohag
U.S. record production ca. 1923-34.
This label was launched in the early 1920s by New York jewelry store owner Sarkis Sarafian. An alternate spelling "Sokhag" appears on some labels. The label featured mostly Armenian music, but also released some Syrian and Persian fare. Masters are from unknown sources, but many appear to be American-made and feature artists known to have been working in New York at the time. There are also examples of Sohag records pressed from Pharos Record Company masters. Records were pressed by the Scranton Button Company.
