Mosteiro de Arouca

Monastery of Arouca, Portugal. Also known as Mosteiro de Santa Maria de Arouca Founded in the first half of the tenth century. After the convent closed in 1884, it became a state property: a Museum of Sacred Art is located here and a part has been sold in 2019 to an Hotel company to make a with a project of building a 4 star hotel. Organ: built in 1743 by Manuel Benito Gomez, renovated by Gerhard Grenzing.
