Vaterländische "Zonophon"-Aufnahme

Special German World War 1 propaganda series issued by Deutsche Grammophon-Aktiengesellschaft in 1915. The "repertoire" of the series consisted mainly of military marches and studio renditions of mobilization, battles, and such. The label carries the following text: [I]"Vaterländische "Zonophon"-Aufnahme zum Besten deutscher Krieger und deren Angehörigen"[/I] (i.e., Patriotic Zonophone Recording to Benefit German Soldiers and their Families). That means that part of the revenue of these records was donated to support German soldiers and their families. At least 25 records were released. Although "Zonophon" has the German spelling, the trademark on the label still has the English spelling: "Zonophone".
