Originally operating under BMG Victor Inc., in late 1992 this label became part of the newly formed joint venture BMG Rooms, Inc. Releases from before the reorganization had the catalog number prefix "BV", and releases from after the reorganization had the catalog number prefix "BM". Some "BV" releases from as early as late 1991, which were still on sale during the reorganization, were re-released with "BM" catalog numbers, resulting in two variant versions. The "BM" versions listed the same printed release date as the "BV" versions, even though the "BM" versions must have been released later in 1992.
