Austria based Horch House was created in 2012 by music lover and audiophile Volker Lange. Lange’s passion for the vastly superior sound quality of analogue recordings on reel-to-reel tape prompted him to investigate how he could acquire original analogue masters and legally reproduce them to the highest level of quality possible. Master sound engineer Christoph Stickel pioneered and continues to manage the signature Horch House ‘soft refurbishing’ process, while world-renowned analogue engineer Andreas Kuhn ensures that the company’s studio-grade recording and playback equipment performs to absolute peak standards. Austria-based Horch House was created for the sole purpose of bringing the magic of analogue master tapes to music lovers in a variety of formats.
