Frozen Plates

Label run by Frozen Dub AKA Péter Kovács from Hungary. Frozen Plate is a new project which aims to support dubstep producers from the Eastern part of the Old Continent. Selling the dubplates is a non-profit business; all income goes toward covering production expenses only. Peter Kovacs 又名FrozenDub（凍配音），是一位來自匈牙利東部的專業考古學家，但他更樂意自稱為音樂癮君子。 他認為真正的dubstep從未成為主流音樂，dubstep的核心族群ㄧ直都是地下音樂的死忠派。 他執著於深沉，黑暗，tribal音樂元素，蒐藏ㄧ些些簡樸的黑膠，收集的網路數位音樂更是蔚為可觀。當他開始玩dubstep時，他決定使用真正的地下曲目，並用網路freebies來豐富他的set。在印尼待了一年之後，他調整了放歌風格，並使用tribal及深沉的元素讓他的playlist更豐富多元。 來到台北之後，他與志同道合的bass死忠派交朋友。透過FrozenDub，他的同名部落格，他積累了一批忠實的讀者和聽眾。 Péter Kovács aka FrozenDub 冻配音 is a professional archaeologist and self-avowed music junkie from east Hungary. He is of the opinion that dubstep has never been mainstream, and that the dubstep massive, at its very core, remains firmly underground. He prefers deep, dark and tribal sounds, and owns a humble vinyl collection as well as a sizable freebie selection. When he started playing dubstep he decided to use real underground tracks, with occasional freebies to round out his sound. After one year in Indonesia he revised his style and enriched his playlist with tribal and meditative elements. Currently he finds himself in Taipei, making friends with likeminded bass heads. And via FrozenDub, his blog of the same name, he’s amassed a coiterie of faithful readers and listeners
