Full name: Studer Professional Audio AG Operating under this name from September 1994 (when bought by Harman/Kardon) until 2003, when it was switched to Studer Professional Audio GmbH. Before 1994, the most important names of the company were Studer Revox AG, Willi Studer AG and ELA AG. Currently, the brand owner is Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., which bought Harman/Kardon in 2017. Swiss manufacturer of audio devices. Founded in 1948 in Regensdorf near Zurich. First well known brand was Dynavox, later the recording devices Revox. Studer Audio later became the brand for studio equipment, while Revox become the consumers' brand in the high quaity market segment.
