Fredrik Falk started Falks Fotografiska Magasin on 1 March 1924, at Norra Storgatan 31 in Eksjö, Sweden. After a fire in 1929, the business was moved to Norra Storgatan 25, now under the name Falks Foto. In 1959 the company was taken over by Evan Ljunggren who in 1963 moved it to Västerlånggatan and in 1965 to Södra Storgatan 5. In 1984, it was time again for a change of ownership. The business was taken over by Margit Petersson and Gun-Britt Gustafsson. Alf Ek took over the company in 1994 and ran it until 2006. Still under the name Falks Foto.
