Buur Records

Buur Records was an independent Dakar label in the 1970s, specializing in Senegalese music. It produced all of the early recordings of Orchestra Baobab (known at the time as Orchestre du Bawobab). Pressing for the label was made in the US. In the Senegalese Wolof language, Buur means `king”.
