ELAC

ELAC Electroacustic GmbH is a 1926-based company from Kiel, northern Germany. The name is the abbreviation for the original and actual company name "Electroacustic GmbH". The origins of the company are in the area of underwater acoustics, as from 1948 this was supplemented by the range of pickups and platters. From 1984, the production of loudspeakers followed. The record players (e.g. Miracord) were popular in the 1960s/70s.
