Records Ltd.

Records manufacturing company established by Ken Khouri in late 1954 in Kingston Jamaica. This was the first manufacturing company established by Khouri, predating his later (and better known) Federal Record Mfg. Co. Ltd.. The best known label produced by Records Ltd. was Kalypso, however, they also manufactured custom product for other Jamaican labels such as Duke Reid's Trojan and Ivan Chin's Chin's, as well as recordings licensed from American labels like Mercury. "Records Ltd." should not be considered part of the label names (as in "Kalypso Records Ltd.") on these releases.
