S+G
Настоящее имя: S+G
S+G / SG (Schulte & Gerth)
German label, originally owned by Verlag Schulte & Gerth.
Label Code: LC 6160 / LC 06160
When the former German Christian publishing house HSW – Hermann Schulte, Wetzlar was sold to its new owner Klaus Gerth in 1978 and turned to Verlag Schulte & Gerth it's by then somewhat outdated named record label Frohe Botschaft Im Lied was dismissed and the acronym HSW, which had been present as the publishing mother house's logo on every release cover for years already, turned to become the record label name shortly. At the turn of the decade though an all new label with modern logo was introduced: S+G, standing for the grown accustomed brand of Schulte paired with the new vision of Gerth. Parallely a new kid's label with fun logo was installed named Kitty (2) and sister label Lord Records, existent for a couple years by then already (run by it's own production company Lord-Produktion) and dedicated to the rising demand of progressive christian music in all of German-speaking Europe, finally got registered for a label code also. The S+G label would go on to release music, radio plays and more for decades until reconstructural measures at the mother publisher's again saw a new label succeed, elaborating the well known acronym brand to it's full name Schulte & Gerth.
