Johan Tol and Michel Veerman are Volendammers (Dutch home town of famous artists as The Cats, BZN, Jan Smit, 3JS, Nick & Simon, Maribelle, Left Side, Canyon, Next One, Jen Rog and many others) and real chauvinists. In 1999 they wrote the book 'One Way Wind, De Geschiedenis van de Palingsound'. Sold more than 10,000 copies of the book and received in 2006 the public prize 'Best Popbook of the Netherlands and Flanders' from the past 30 years. In addition to the many mediations and collaborations with various record companies that brought great releases, they also wrote the book 'Piet Veerman The Story Of'. In 2011 Johan and Michel started Paso Records, short for PAlingSOund Records.
