World Opera Series

The first concerted effort to issue complete operas by World Record Club in Australia, from Suor Angelica in November 1962 to Der Rosenkavalier in November 1965. Mostly issued with the "OE" prefix, the series also included a few reissues, repackaged in the same manner: a red box with a gold embossment at the centre, the box inner lined with a collage of caricatures of operatic figures, and the LPs separated by gold-coloured dividers attached to the inside of the box.
