ReggaeWise started as a website (2005-2011) and became later on a You Tube channel (2011-2023). In 2018 the ReggaeWise crew started a project that saw its last release in 2022. The mission of the project was to rescue noteworthy, unreleased roots reggae music only available on acetate or demo-tapes. Often with sound quality issues. We reached that goal to preserve 53 previously unreleased songs/versions via the enduring poly vinyl format and share these cultural treasures with the reggae community via You Tube. The pressings are intended for private use only. The very limited, non-commercial editions (4 -20 copies) ensures no financial harm to the original artists and producers. Importantly, the few copies cut on poly vinyl makes sure those ´rescued´ previously unreleased songs "lives on". It was our pleasure RW-Team The 0 serie catalog numbers are releases of that original RW rescue and share project. The 1000 serie catalog numbers are some random rare original unreleased roots reggae releases that at the time didnt fit the original rescue and share project. Won't be shared at YT. The 2000 serie catalog numbers are new roots artist releases.
