Love Minus Zero Recordings
Настоящее имя: Love Minus Zero Recordings
Love Minus Zero Recordings (legal name Love Minus Zero, Inc., sometimes credited as Love Minus Zero Records and always stylized as ♥ - 0) was a short-lived record label founded by brother and sister Richard Reines and Stefanie Reines. The company name was first registered by the Reines' on October 12th of 2004 through their lawyer Samuel Israel, but it took a couple of years for the label to get off its feet.
Love Minus Zero was finally launched in November of 2006, as an imprint of the Reines' already well-established record label, Drive-Thru Records, to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the company (Drive-Thru was established in 1996). The subsidiary's purpose was to release and showcase singer-songwriter artists that fit oddly on Drive-Thru Records. Press releases went out in early January of 2007 after the signing of Roark and Biirdie. The Roark album was released as scheduled, in February of 2007, but the Biirdie album was delayed from its original April 2007 release date to January of 2008. After only two releases, Love Minus Zero folded in the summer of 2008, due to a legal complication that Drive-Thru Records was enduring with Universal Music, which resulted in the Reines' putting Drive-Thru Records (and its subsidiaries) on an indefinite hiatus. The artists were not merged into Drive-Thru Records nor Universal Music.
