Stiftsbasilika, Aschaffenburg
Настоящее имя: Stiftsbasilika, Aschaffenburg
As the only church in the world consecrated to Saints Peter and Alexander, the foundation of the convent, a monastery-like community of world priests, goes back to Duke Liudolf of Swabia (d. 957) and his wife Ida. With the death of her son Otto, Duke of Swabia and Bavaria, during the campaign against the Saracens, fell Aschaffenburg and thus also the pin in 982 Mainz. In the following years, the church and the collegiate college developed into a defining factor for the preferred residence of the Mainz archbishops.
