Marti Music publishing was formed by pop singer/songwriter Marti Barris and her mother Loyce Whiteman, also known as Lois Whiteman. They wrote songs together, including "Coffee Date," recorded by Ella Mae Morse, and "Scottish Fling", sung by Barris, to which Marti provided a melody and Loyce provided lyrics
