90s transvestite/punk bar on Red River & 7th in Austin, Texas infamous as a venue for punk shows. Started as a bar for cross-dressing, the Blue Flamingo became the epicenter for Austin's 90s-era punk scene. The Austin Chronicle called The Blue Flamingo "the stankiest, most low-down joint to ever qualify for a TABC liquor license."
