The Wee Red Bar

The Wee Red Bar is a much loved Edinburgh institution in terms of a lively and intimate venue for both up and coming and established bands and Djs. Operating since the early 1980s and located in the grounds of Edinburgh College of Art via a secret, concealed entrance on Lady Lawson Street. The venue prides itself in its excellent sound quality and puts on many, live gigs ranging from Reggae to Post Rock, and every other genre in-between. In many cases The Wee Red Bar has given bands their first ever gig. Recent more known names who have graced the boards - Dingus Khan, Frightened Rabbit, Euros Childs and Django Django.
