China Central Television (CCTV) is the national television media of the People's Republic of China. Founded on May 1, 1958, it was officially broadcast on September 2, 1958. Now with 42 TV channels, it is the largest TV station in the world with the largest number of TV channels. It is also the world's first TV station to broadcast entirely in Chinese.
