Astra Records Ltd

Canadian record company established in early 1971 in Montréal by Mike W. Doyle and Bob Hahn with the Canadian Association Of Broadcasters. The company was controversial due to complaints by other Canadian labels that it was a conflict of interest for the CAB to own a label, Astra (7), in competition with other Canadian labels vying for broadcast time. Doyle left the company in early 1972 and it collapsed soon after.
