PolyGram Manufacturing & Distribution Centres B.V. at Amersfoort, The Netherlands is a part of the PolyGram Group.
Operating under this name from January 1993 until June 1997*.
The PMDC plant at Amersfoort has been designed and built specially for the production of the MC (musicassettes) and the DCC (Digital Compact Cassette).
Construction and installation of the factory in 1991 (as PolyGram Record Service B.V.) was tuned well in advance to cope with the technical requirements for and the launch of the new audio format DCC. Since 1995 the factory is extended for the production of prerecorded VHS-cassettes.
All cassette manufacturing activities of PRS Baarn were transferred to Amersfoort in 1991.
