Danish pop and schlager label founded August 15, 1971, by producer Jørgen Kleinert, following his Oktav (2) label. The label released from 1971 to 1975, when Kleinert continued releasing on his KMF label. Major artist on Play was John Mogensen. Releases can have both label logos, and as the Play cat# series was continued on the KMF label, KMF releases also have cat# with the PLAY prefix.
