Sounds Of The South (2)
Настоящее имя: Sounds Of The South (2)
After relocating to Atlanta in early autumn 1972, Sounds of the South was originally conceived by producer / musician / A+R man Al Kooper while seeing Lynyrd Skynyrd at Funochio's House of Rock. In early 1973, Sounds Of The South Productions was launched to oversee Mose Jones's debut recording. The world's first southern rock imprint was officially created in September 1973 as a joint label and production agreement with MCA Records, with many of its recordings engineered at Studio One, Doraville, a local facility Kooper later co-owned with producer Buddy Buie. By 1974, the label ceased operations, with subsequent reissues released under the MCA brand, and owned today by Universal Music Group.
