Discobel (2)

Belgian label, distributor and record company, based in Brussels. Dating back to 1926, it was one of Belgium's oldest record companies. Among the labels it represented in Belgium were Imperial (2), Ariola, Bel Air and between 1954 and 1961 Parlophone and Odeon (which then move to S.A. Gramophone N.V.). In 1967 it acquired the rights to the French labels Président and Impact (2), in 1968 to the Dutch Telstar (2). Its managing directors were Mr. Penninck and Mr. Van de Walle. In 1967 operations were taken over by Werner Huys and Jacques Bentinx.
