Marienkirche Rötha
Настоящее имя: Marienkirche Rötha
Under the patronage of the Leipzig nunnery St. Georgen was about 1510/11 the laying of the foundation stone for the construction of the present church as a place of pilgrimage for the worship of the Blessed Virgin Mary. With this construction, the nuns tied to an older wooden chapel, whose origins were traced back to the story of a miraculous pear tree. According to documentary evidence, the new, entirely made of stone church was completed by 1518. After the reformation introduced under Duke Heinrich the pious in Saxonia in 1539, it was consecrated as a church of Godsack in the Protestant faith.
