Danske Jazzcenter

Det Danske Jazzcenter -- The Danish Jazz Center -- was established by trumpeter and organisor Arnvid Meyer in 1970. The Center was located in Rønnede on the southern region Sydsjælland of Sjælland and closed in 1997. During its existence the Center played a pivotal role in the collection, preservation, documentation and research of Danish jazz. The Center also organized musical activities, both nationally and internationally. Aming the Center's projects was the annual Jazzpar Prize.
