Nigeria's one of first and largest independent reggae and dancehall label founded in early 60’s by Princess Mrs. Stella Eno Osagie (neè Ohen Awan) who earlier owned a cassette store at Udeni Village, Nigeria, alongside managing the Udeni cultural center. She relocated to Benin City (Nigeria) in 1969, setting up a vinyl store in Medical Stores Road.
In 1973, they sold and distributed world music for local musicians. In 1975, they relocated to Ugha village.
In 1990, the label was known for successful high sales report and it remained a family business.
The label also supported the riddim of early Nyabinghi beats, it achieved national success for artists such as Rasta Obi Sunny Melo and Osayomore Joseph through the label’s national distribution of over 50,000 vinyl and audio cassettes in market places monthly, using the car gingle local method.
The record label had management struggles in the 70’s and finally closed down in late 90’s due to the company management and went into a knitting company by the name “Stella best Knitters Company” known for Edo state biggest knitting institute of cardigans partnering with Guiness Plc, Edo College, Adolo College, Egba Grammar School, Benin Technical school, Singer Ltd. The company won 'Best institute of the year' honored by Minister of Trade and Industry Lucky Umoru.
In 2003, Kingsley Eno Osagie (aka Winning Jah), Nigerian reggae singer and also the son of the founder, officially rebranded the label in Italy, registered and renamed the imprint's name to operates as Enorecords LLC . managing various imporant artists from Nigeria and beyond.
