Buenavista

The Buenavista house was a squat located in the Buena Vista neighborhood in San Sebastián (Basque Country, Spain). It was the old Buena Vista City Hall until it was abandoned in the mid seventies. In the early/mid eighties the old building was squattered by local organizations and was used, among other things, as a rehearsal place for a lot of bands and also as a concert venue. The bands who rehearsed here formed the so-called Buenavista scene, such as La Perrera, Ezin Izan, Jauko Barik, Nuevo Catecismo Católico, Desastrozombies, Ira Et Decessus, Discipulos de Dionisos, Las Lagartas and many others. It was finally demolished by the local authorities in 2005.
