The D&R label, shorthand for "Double & Reversible," was active from 1908-1912.
D&R was one of the premium-scheme market labels. Phonographs were given for free to customers who agreed to purchase a number of records that were mailed to them.
During the first two years of the label, D&R was produced by the Leeds & Caitlin Co. of New York, then picked up by Columbia.
