Nonostar Records stands for the fringe experiment of classical chamber music alongside electronic sound aesthetics for the digital age, spanning genres from Modern Classical to contemporary electronic music and chamber pop. The release of the debut EP by Violinist, Producer and Composer Alex Stolze, in collaboration with Community Promotion Hamburg, birthed the record label. Since then the Collective around Stolze, who already gained attention through earlier projects Bodi Bill, Unmap and Dictaphone, has expanded considerably. A collaboration between pianist Sebastian Reynolds and Anne Mueller (Erased Tapes, Nils Frahm) has lead to the labels second release SOLO COLLECTIVE Part One, mixing both live and studio recordings of the three chamber musicians on violin, cello and the piano. Having played sold-out shows in Germany , they have been on an expansive UK tour in 2017. the three solo artists release on the label as the highly acclaimed album by Alex Stolze -'Outermost Edge' in march 2018 or the thaidance -project maintheme Mahajanaka by Sebastian Reynolds. Christian Grochau, whose restless Techno project , Qrauer, blew the former head of Krakatau Records (Lake People, Thomalla, The/Das) away , will be released in june 2018.
