Nigerian record company. Also operated a vinyl pressing plant and 16-track recording studio in Lagos.
Established in 1963 as part of Philips (West African) Records Ltd. when that company took over Nigeria Records Ltd., the pressing plant in Onitsha founded in 1960 as a joint venture between Philips and C. T. Onyekwelu of Nigerphone. In 1980 the company was renamed to Polygram Records Ltd. Nigeria.
Vinyl pressings can be identified by "701" in the runouts (mastering took place in Baarn, Holland though).
