Finas Music

Founded by jazz pianist James Williams, Finas Music was to serve as a way for Williams to record projects as he desired to do them. He recorded four volumes of Jazz Dialogues, duets with both instrumentalists and vocalists, released simultaneously as individual CDs and also compiled in a 4 CD set. Sadly, Williams was diagnosed with liver cancer and died on July 20, 2014, making these releases the only completed projects to appear on his label. The name Finas was how Williams always pronounced the first name of fellow Memphis native and jazz pianist Phineas Newborn, Jr.
