The Basilica of San Salvatore is located in Brescia, within the Santa Giulia complex. Founded in 753 as a church of the female monastery of San Salvatore, over the centuries it was repeatedly remodeled and became part of the new complex, whose church dedicated to Santa Giulia was completed in 1599. The whole is part of the serial site " Longobards in Italy: the places of power ", including seven places of architectural, pictorial and sculptural testimonies of longobard art, enrolled in the UNESCO World Heritage List in June 2011.
