Danish record label Flex Records was founded in 1994 by Ole Martini Mortensen and Kenneth Bager as a sublabel to Scandinavian Records to release various electronic music.
Flex established an office and a studio complex located on Njalsgade 19 in Copenhagen, Denmark. They recruited Peter Ø. Skovsted, Michael Pfundheller, and Lisbeth Bruhn to help run the label. At one point they had five recording studios at Njalsgade. The "hit factory" included producers Cutfather & Joe, Hartmann & Langhoff, Little Jam, Caucasuss, Multiman, Christian Møller Nielsen, and Dan Stangerup.
Flex was sold to the Danish branch of the EMI group in 1996.
Flex was based upon four colours:
Red = Pop
Blue = Dance
Black = Techno
Orange = Ambient/downbeat
