Abstractor was Caracas based music & arts collective formed by Klvo from Babylon Motorhome, Ángela Hernandez, Pacheko, Pocz, Emmerson, and Inkclear, among others. Abstractor.net was their website, mostly used as a collective blog where they shared their work.
They hosted the Abstractor Radio Show at midnight through 107.3FM in their hometown of Caracas, where they organised a series of events from 2008 until 2013, including parties, AV performances and talks. Some of their guests during those days were Cardopusher, Mala (4), DJ /rupture, Chrissy, Kid606, 6blocc and Quantic, among others.
In 2011, Abstractor co produced the ¿Quien Quiere Tuki? - Who Wants Tuki? documentary, exploring the local Raptor House & Changa Tuki scene in Venezuela, featuring DJ Yirvin and DJ Baba.
They ran a short-lived net label under the same name, putting out music by Pocz, Mr. Gasparov, MPeach and Elodie Milo, among others. Musically, Abstractor was a broad and diverse project with strong influences from Dub, Ambient, Bass Music and Rave Culture as well Afro Caribbean rhythms such as Raptor House, Changa Tuki, Reggaeton, Bubbling, Kuduro, and more.
