Talk Of The Tyne
Настоящее имя: Talk Of The Tyne
Originally the building was a 1,500-seater social club for the Boilermakers' Union, then it was bought, in 1978, by comic Bobby Pattinson, who turned the Talk of the Tyne into one of the North East's most popular nightspots.
In his first 10 months he took a million bookings but sold it after a decade to concentrate on his expanding residential home business. In its heyday, there was a stampede of revellers through the doors to see the line-up of top cabaret stars.
Over the years it has been a church, cafe, Christian book shop and conference centre.
