Canadian manufacturer active from 1979 until the early 1990s. Owned by Jack Hawthorn, who later partnered with Lindsay Gillespie to establish The Vinyl Factory (3) in 1996. Records pressed for WEA Music Of Canada, Ltd. / WEA Musique Du Canada Ltée. can be identified with a GR pressing plant code on labels. Test pressings use only Golden Records on the labels. In the 1980s, Golden manufactured the majority of USA & Canada vinyl releases for Silver Eagle Records.
